Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey in the No.60 AutoNation Sirius XM Honda says he is excited to be heading to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series season finale where he hopes to give their partnership with Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports the perfect send off.
Harvey who once again ran a partial programme in 2019 scored his first podium finish at the Indianapolis Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May and looking ahead to the race this weekend he said:
“I’m really excited to head back to Laguna Seca. “We had a really solid test there earlier in the year so I’m excited to go back and see what we can do. It was great to have the speed that we had while in Portland and it’s a shame that the race had to end the way that it did. I have put that behind me and am only looking at continuing our progress at the season finale this weekend.”
Team co owner Mike Shank is hoping to end the year on a high note for Sirius XM and for AutoNation and coming off the back of winning the manufacturers championship in IMSA at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca last weekend Shank will be hoping to transfer that success across to his NTT IndyCar Series programme.
Speaking ahead of the race he said:
This year has been important for the team and for Jack. “We have hit nearly all of our goals and even exceeded them at some tracks. We are finally getting into a groove with the competition and that learning curve is not so steep anymore. We’re hoping to finish out the season on a high note for AutoNation and SiriusXM.”
