Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey in the No.60 AutoNation Sirius XM Honda says he is looking forward to racing at Iowa Speedway in an IndyCar for the first time in his career. The Englishman heads into the weekend off the back of a strong race one at Road America on Saturday where he started on the front row.
Harvey will be hoping that the team can keep up this momentum for the Iowa 250 doubleheader starting on Friday and speaking ahead of the action he said:
Iowa is actually one of the few ovals that I have raced at in Indy Lights. “I’ve always had good speed there so I’m hoping that we can translate that speed that I had in Indy Lights to speed in IndyCar. This year we’ve shown that we have the speed and the pace to run up front, but we’ve had the odds against us for some reason. Hopefully things will turn around at Iowa. It’s a great track, there’s always something happening and there’s no real moment where you get to breathe or relax.”
Qualifying for Friday and Saturday’s races takes place on Friday with the drivers opening lap determining where they start for race one and the second lap for race two.
