Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey in the No.60 AutoNation Sirius XM Honda will start today’s Big Machine Spiked Coolers Grand Prix of Indianapolis from seventh place and speaking following the action he commented saying:

I would have hoped for a little bit more there in the Firestone Fast 12. I don’t super love this qualifying format – I think I prefer the three-stage knockout. Ultimately, we just missed it by a tiny bit and when it’s so close like that session was, a little bit can compound. I’m a little disappointed with where we finished but probably good to be disappointed when you’re P7. We’ll try and have a good race tomorrow, our black-tire pace was strong which will be good for the race. The team and I are looking forward to going for a win tomorrow.

Helio Castroneves in the No.06 AutoNation Sirius XM Honda starts the race from 23rd place and speaking following the action he said:

We know that we have been progressing and this morning we thought we had a much better pace than that. In fact, my lap was much better than this. When you’re going through this process [running select races], you’re going to have some inconsistencies, some ups and downs, so at least we went for it. We didn’t want to try and put another set of tires on or things like that but, obviously, not the result that even I was expecting.
