Jack Harvey in the No.18 INVST Dale Coyne Racing Honda will start Sunday’s XPEL Grand Prix of Road America from 20th place on the grid.
Speaking after setting a time of 02:02.9443s, Harvey said:
Obviously the rain threw a huge spanner in the works. Today, we tried to go out in the morning practice session but every time we went out there was a red flag and we had to come back in. I think that hurt us a little bit today. For qualifying, there was a red about halfway through, we came in and made a tire pressure adjustment and went back out and the car was completely transformed, in a good way. On the whole, P10 in our group, I think we can race from there and that’s the important thing. Thanks to everyone at Dale Coyne Racing. Let’s have a good day tomorrow.”
Luca Ghiotto in the No.51 GAV Air Technology Dale Coyne Racing with RWR Honda starts the race from 23rd place after a time of 02:05.1341s and speaking following the action he said:
Qualifying didn’t go as planned for us today at Road America. We were a bit off on the wet tires and that hurt us today in qualifying. But I’m loving this track so far. It’s a great track. It’s just that today has been pretty wet between practice 2 and qualifying. Tomorrow we’ll start 23rd for the race and we’ll see what we can do from there.”
