Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin in the No.3 PPG Chevrolet says that it is invaluable having Simon Pagenaud, Will Power, and Josef Newgarden in the outfit as they have plenty of experience of racing on ovals as he prepares to make his oval race debut this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during a conference call, McLaughlin said that he doesn’t expect his teammates to give him all the information they have but that find that extra tenth will be up to him.

The New Zealander has been extremely quick in the opening two races this season ad he is looking forward to getting back on track. McLaughlin also said that he done simulation work on how to make pit-stops during a oval race.
