IndyCar President Mark Miles has labelled defending series champion Scott Dixon as outstanding.
The Iceman who last year claimed his fifth series title with Chip Ganassi Racing goes into the 2019 season as the early favourite.
Miles says that Dixon is respected by all of his rivals and has done a fantastic job promoting the series both on and off track. Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi who finished runner up to Dixon in the championship last year says it’s a privilege to race against the New Zealander.
Rossi says that Dixon is the driver that everyone in the series looks up to and is the benchmark for everyone.
The 2019 IndyCar Series season gets underway with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg which takes place from March 8-10.
