Harding Steinbrener Racing’s Colton Herta has refused to be comment on his future in the NTT IndyCar Series future as the 2019 season heads to Pocono Raceway this weekend.
Herta, the son of former NTT IndyCar Series driver Bryan has been linked with a drive alongside James Hinchcliffe at Arrow McLaren Racing SP.
Herta who took victory in the IndyCar Classic at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas at the beginning of the season told Motorsport.com that it is unlikely that he will stay with Harding Steinbrenner Racing for 2020.
Paddock Eye understands that with his links to Andretti Autosport and with Michael Shank Racing looking for a new partner Michael Andretti might try to place Herta in a Meyer Shank car powered by Honda in partnership with Andretti given that he has partnered with Shank before for the Indy 500.
Shank has previously stated his desire to run a full time NTT IndyCar Series programme with Jack Harvey and another driver potentially for 2020.
