Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden was second fastest just ahead of championship leader Alex Palou and his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda.
Felix Rosenqvist in the No.60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda was fifth just ahead of Scott McLaughlin and Linus Lundqvist.
Romain Grosjean continued his solid weekend with Juncos Hollinger Racing ending the session in eighth place while Kyle Kirkwood was ninth.
Pato O’Ward rounded out the top ten. Marcus Ericsson was 11th just ahead of Marcus Armstrong while David Malukas was 13th fastest just ahead of AJ Foyt Racing’s Santino Ferrucci.
Hunter McElrea was 15th just ahead of of Graham Rahal and Rinus VeeKay.
Pietro Fittipaldi was 18th just ahead of Nolan Siegel and Christian Lundgaard. Kyffin Simpson was 21st just ahead of Toby Sowery and Agustin Canapino.
Christian Rasmussen was 24th just ahead of Will Power who struggled in the session while Theo Pourchaire and Sting Ray Robb who rounded out the order.
