Former Formula One world champion Damon Hill has confirmed that he will attend the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 26.
Hill’s father Graham took victory in the 1966 Indianapolis 500. Taking to Twitter earlier this week, the 1996 Formula One world champion said:

Graham Hill remains to this day the only racing driver to have completed motorsports triple crown having won the Monaco Grand Prix twice in Formula One in 1963 and 64, Hill took victory in 1966 Indianapolis 500 and also took victory in the 1966 Indianapolis 500, on his debut in the race.
Fernando Alonso will attempt to complete the triple crown having won the Monaco Grand Prix twice in 2006 with Renault and in 2007 with McLaren.
Alonso took victory in the 2018 24 Hours of LeMans with Toyota Gazoo Racing. The double Formula One world champion will attempt to win the Indianapolis 500 with McLaren Racing powered by Chevrolet.
