This weekend’s Verizon IndyCar Series race in Canada, the Honda Indy Toronto is a massive one for the Schmidt Peterson Motorsports drivers James Hinchcliffe and Robert Wickens.

It is the pair’s home race and for Wickens it has added significance as it will be his first home race as a Verizon IndyCar Series driver.

The Mayor of HinchTown goes into this weekend’s race off the back of his first win of the season last tine out in the Iowa Corn 300 at Iowa Speedway.

Hinch will be hoping that he can add another victory this weekend.

Wickens who joined Schmidt Peterson Motorsports during the off season has had a fantastic season to date and has come close to winning a race on several occasions thos year but that first trip to Victory Lane has so far elluded him.

Wickens heads into his home race in sixth place in the championship on 304 points while Hinch is in eighth place on 280 points.

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports have been extremely strong this season abd we can expect both cars to up front this weekend in Toronto.
