Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe has said he believes he will not race in the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next weekend.

Speaking to the IndyCar Radio Network during qualifying for the race, the Mayor of HinchTown said that he has already began preparations for the Detroit Grand Prix and says that he has had worse days at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway referring to his accident here in 2015.

Hinch has said that he is now working on getting one of his team mate’s into Victory Lane next weekend and he says that the one off drivers deserve to be in the race as that is what they have worked towards all year.

Hinch said that he is disappointed for the No.5 Arrow crew and says that he has no say in what will happen next week but he does not expect to be racing next weekend.
