James Hinchcliffe will make his full-time return to the NTT IndyCar Series this season with Andretti Autosport this season while Ryan Hunter Reay is set to continue in the No.28 DHL Honda according to reports in the United States on Tuesday.
Paddock Eye understands that James Hinchcliffe has raised the funding necessary to make his full time return to the NTT IndyCar Series this year after completing a partial programme with Andretti Autosport in 2019 which including the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.
It is believed that Genesys who were introduced to the NTT IndyCar Series by James Hinchcliffe last season will return to sponsor the Mayor of HinchTown this season but this has yet to be confirmed. As reported by Paddock Eye in November, Ryan Hunter Reay is set to return to the No.28 DHL Honda this season.
Andretti Autosport will once again have one of the strongest driver line up’s in the NTT IndyCar Series this year with James Hinchcliffe joining Ryan Hunter Reay, Colton Herta, Marco Andretti and Alexander Rossi in the team.
Colton Herta will take over the No.26 Gainbridge Honda this season following Zach Veach’s departure from Andretti Autosport towards the end of last season.
