Schmidt Peterson Motorsports have confirmed that James Hinchcliffe and the No.5 Arrow Electronics Honda crew will take place in the Carb Day pit-stop competition at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday.

The Mayor of HinchTown confirmed on Wednesday that barring unforeseen circumstances he will not be racing in the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil on Sunday.

Hinch will be back racing in Detroit next weekend for the Verizon IndyCar Series only doubleheader race weekend with Chevrolet Belle Isle Grand Prix presented by Lear.

The No.5 Arrow crew will join the 33 car field on pit-road at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and will be hoping to do the double having won the pit-stop competition at the last round of the Verizon IndyCar Series season, the IndyCar Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course earlier this month.
