Andretti Autosport’s James Hinchcliffe brings a wealth of experience as he returns to the Indianapolis based team for the month of May.

The Mayor of HinchTown who will drive the No.29 Genesys Honda for the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis, the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 24 and the Texas Indy 600 at Texas Motor Speedway.

During his time with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports the Canadian took pole for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Penngrade in 2016 and won races in Iowa, St Pete, Louisiana and Brazil.

The Mayor of HinchTown knows Andretti Autosport really well and works well with Marco Andretti, Alexander Rossi and Ryan Hunter Reay. Hinch has also worked with Jack Harvey with whom Andretti have a technical relationship with through Meyer Shank Racing.

The Mayor will also work well with Zach Veach and Colton Herta and provide Andretti Autosport with a great opportunity to win the Indianapolis 500.
