Verizon IndyCar Series driver James Hinchcliffe and his dance partner Sharna Burgess impressed both the judges and the audience on the opening night of Dancing With The Stars.
Hinchcliffe who is made his debut on the show on Monday night was in his element as the Mayor of HinchTown and Burgess ended the night with the joint highest score of 31 out of a possible 40 points.
Hinchcliffe who said prior to the starts of the show said that the reason he decided to do the show was because it was completely out his comfort zone however this is in no way noticeable as he and Burgess who were second on the show did a fantastic job together.
It was also great to see the support that Hinch received from his competitors in the Verizon IndyCar Series with Dale Coyne Racing’s Conor Daly and Indianapolis 500 winner Alexander Rossi from Andretti Autosport in the studio audience for the show. Hinch also received plenty of messages of support from other drivers in the series which just goes to show the genuine camaraderie and friendship among the drivers.
The next stop for Hinch is the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series season finale GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma which takes place this weekend.
Congratulations to Hinch and Sharna on a great first show and best of luck next week and for the rest of the show.
