Schmidt Peterson Motorsport’s James Hinchcliffe was in Tampa on Thursday ahead of the start of the Verizon IndyCar Series season in St Petersburg where he met up with the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team who were taking on the New York Yankees in a pre-season game.

Hinchcliffe joined his home town team as they practiced ahead of the game against New York and presented Jays player Russell Martin with a helmet.

Martin in turn presented the Mayor of Hinchtown with his very own Hinchcliffe No.5 Blue Jays jersey. The Blue Jays went on to beat the Yankee’s 11 – 4.
