NTT IndyCar Series team owner Dale Coyne has confirmed that James Hinchcliffe is one of the drivers on his shortlist to replace Sebastien Bourdais at the team next year.
Coyne announced last month that Sebastien Bourdais would not race for the team in 2020 after his main sponsor pulled out of the deal.
The Mayor of HinchTown was replaced at Arrow McLaren SP for the 2020 season after the team decided to replace both the Canadian and his team mate Marcus Ericsson.
Ericsson has landed a drive with Chip Ganassi Racing alongside Scott Dixon and Felix Rosenqvist whereas Hinch has yet to find a seat.
Paddock Eye understands that the Mayor of HinchTown brings a supply of Honda engines with the team he signs for.
Dale Coyne Racing are not the only team considering James, as Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team owner Bobby Rahal has revealed he is interested in signing the Canadian as is Chip Ganassi Racing.
