James Hinchcliffe in the No.5 Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda says he is optimistic about a strong finish in the race 2 of the Chevrolet Dual In Detroit on Belle Isle. The Mayor of HinchTown who started Saturday’s race from fourth place will roll off from P14 today.

The Toronto native said during driver introductions that his car felt good in race trim but was unfortunate to suffer a mechanical issue that put him into the tyre wall.

The No.5 crew know that as Saturday proved that even if you have a good qualifying result you are not guaranteed a good race finish. Hinchcliffe goes into today’s race in eighth place in the points standings.
