James Hinchcliffe looks set to miss out on securing a full time drive for the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series season.
The popular Canadian was blindsided late last year when it was revealed he had been replaced at Arrow McLaren SP for 2020 but remains under contract to the team.
Reports in the US suggest that the Mayor of HinchTown who is extremely popular amongst his fellow competitors will only be doing a partial schedule which includes the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 24.
While his former team mate Marcus Ericsson secured a drive with Chip Ganassi Racing, Hinch had been unable so far to do the same.
Paddock Eye understands that Santino Ferrucci will return to Dale Coyne Racing for 2020 alongside Alex Palou who makes his NTT IndyCar Series debut this season.
The only other team yet to confirm their line up is Carlin who are expected to retain Max Chilton on a partial programme while Paddock Eye understands that due to having more sponsorship this season that Charlie Kimball will make a full time return to the NTT IndyCar Series.
