Indiana Flat 12 Bierwerks have confirmed the return of their popular HinchTown Hammer Down beer to celebrate the return of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Verizon IndyCar Series driver James Hinchcliffe to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Mayor of HinchTown who will compete in the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil launched the beer with Flat 12 Bierwerks in 2013.

The beer can has received a new look in recognition of Hinchcliffe’s return to racing in the Verizon IndyCar Series the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 which takes place on May 29.

Hinchcliffe was also instrumental in the company’s new beer, The Bricks Red IPA and speaking about the news, Flat 12 co-founder and CEO Sean O’Connor stated:

James reached out to us and said, ‘I’d be interested in brewing an IPA, We expect to get a really good reception. It’s a popular style of beer, we’ve gotten some good press on it, and we’re putting together a really good event to kick it off.

The Bricks Red IPA will be launched on May 6 and has been released specifically in recognition of the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
