W Series driver Sheay Holbrook says she aims to compete in the NTT IndyCar Series in the future if her career in single seater racing cars continues the upward trend.

The American’s season in the W Series is her first time racing in Europe having previously raced in the US. Shea goes into Sunday’s season finale in Brands Hatch in 18th place in the championship. Holbrook has raced for Lamborgini in the US and taking to Twitter ahead of this morning’s action at Brands Hatch, Shea said:

Looks like it may be day full of sunshine in England today?! Excited to get on track!

The NTT IndyCar Series has a rich history of female drivers competing in the sport such as Danica Patrick, Pippa Mann and Katherine Legge who has been a team mate of Holbrook’s in the past.
The NTT IndyCar Series heads to Pocono Raceway next weekend for the ABC Supply 500.
