Honda Performance Development head to the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg, round two of the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season this weekend with a 17 point lead in Manufacturers championship.
Honda scored a double podium at Barber Motorsports Park on Sunday with Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou in the No.10 SEGI.TV Honda taking his first career IndyCar Series win last weekend.
Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda came home in third place while Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal in the No.15 Code 3 Associates Honda was seventh having come from 18th on grid.
Marcus Ericsson in the No.8 Huski Chocolate Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing was eighth just ahead of Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi in the No.27 NAPA Auto Parts Honda.
Dale Coyne Racing with RWR rounded out the top ten in his very first NTT IndyCar Series race in the No.53 Nurtec ODT Honda rounded out the top ten.
Honda will be hoping to build on their strong start to the season this weekend.
