The Honda powered NTT IndyCar Series teams had a strong start to the Chevrolet Duel In Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix on Friday.

Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda for Chip  Ganassi Racing was the fastest driver in practice one while in practice 2 it was Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi in the No.27 NAPA Auto Parts Honda.

The combined session times from Friday saw six of the top ten drivers powered by Honda.
