Honda Racing Corporation U.S announced on Wednesday that they will serve as the primary sponsor to championship leader Alex Palou’s No.10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda for this weekend’s Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park.
HRC and Chip Ganassi Racing drivers Scott Dixon and Alex Palou have won five of the last seven NTT INDYCAR SERIES championships, including back-to-back titles for Palou in 2023 and 2024. The primary sponsorship this weekend is fitting, as Barber Motorsports Park is where Palou scored his maiden INDYCAR Series race victory with Chip Ganassi Racing Honda in his first race for the team in 2021, the year he won his first championship.
The striking livery featured this weekend is the same one that Formula One driver Yuki Tsunoda wore at a Honda event in Las Vegas when he tried out the No. 10 Chip Ganassi Honda.
David Salters, President, HRC US:
“We are excited to be the primary partner on the No. 10 CGR Honda at Barber Motorsports Park. We’ve had a very successful long-term partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing and both of us have seen a lot of success from that collaboration. Alex Palou has done an incredible job the last few years and to kick off this 2025 season and coming on board the No. 10 car seemed liked a great opportunity for visibility around the HRC brand and our new performance parts business.”
Chip Ganassi, Owner, Chip Ganassi Racing:
“Over the years, we have had many successes working with Honda, winning multiple championships and Indianapolis 500s. We are looking forward to partnering with them at Barber on the No. 10, and hope Alex and the team will continue their successful start to the year.”
