Chip Ganassi Racing’s Managing Director Mike Hull says he has been extremely impressed with Scott Dixon’s approach to the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series which sees the Iceman competing for his fifth series title this weekend at the final race in Sonoma.
Speaking to Paddock Eye during a teleconference ahead of this weekend’s race Hull said that he continues to be impressed with Dixon and that he has been able to adapt to the changes in the formula of the Verizon IndyCar Series.
This season Chip Ganassi Racing moved from Chevrolet to Honda power and as a result the team had a new aero kit.
Dixon has won one race in 2017 when he took victory in the Kohler Grand Prix at the Road America circuit.
The New Zealander heads into the weekend just three points behind series leader Josef Newgarden with double points on offer for the championship.
