Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter Reay in the No.28 DHL Honda ensured the Michael Andretti’s team topped the time-sheets in both sessions at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday during the aero test.
Hunter Reay completed 11 laps with his fastest time of 40.5319s set on lap 6 at speed of 222.047mph.
Josef Newgarden in the No.21 Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet was second fastest completing 18 laps with a fastest time of 40.7012s ending the session once again just ahead of team owner and driver Ed Carpenter in the No.20 Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet.
Graham Rahal in the No.15 Steak N’Shake Honda was fourth fastest just ahead of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe.
Takuma Sato rounded out the order in sixth place for AJ Foyt Racing. There were no rookies at the test on Wednesday as they will get their first chance to drive at Indianapolis next month.
