Dreyer and Reinbold Racing with Cusick Motorsports Ryan Hunter-Reay in the No.23 Four Sixes Ranch Beef Chevrolet has made it into the Firestone Fast 12 for the second day of qualifying on Sunday for next weekend’s 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. The 2014 Indianapolis 500 winner ended Sunday morning’s Fast 12 practice session in 9th place with a fastest speed of 232.211MPH and speaking following the action, Hunter-Reay said:
“It was pretty excited four laps from behind the wheel and that is how it should be, to grab eleven spots in one run is pretty phenomenal,. “I believe experience is everything around here. Tomorrow we will go over quite a bit of data and try to figure out we will achieve consistency.”
Conor Daly in the No.24 Polkadot Chevrolet starts the Greatest Spectacle In Racing from 29th place and speaking following the action he commented saying:
“We have a great car and it has been great all day after a somewhat difficult Fast Friday. “However, I have all the confidence in the world now. I am ready to get back into race trim and we are capable of much more.”
When it comes to Fast 12 qualifying, team co-owner Don Cusick told Paddock Eye that the team found something overnight and that resulted in Ryan Hunter Reay ending the session in ninth place.
