Ryan Hunter-Reay, the 2012 NTT IndyCar Series champion and 2014 Indianapolis 500 champion is set to be confirmed at Andretti Autosport for 2021.
Motorsport.com reports that the Florida native has signed a one year contract extension with the team that will be announced possibly as early next week and will continue with DHL as his primary sponsor.
Paddock Eye understands however that team owner and CEO Michael Andretti is keen for Hunter-Reay to stay with the team beyond 2021.
It is also understood that Andretti Autosport will continue with five cars in 2021 with James Hinchcliffe set to sign a deal with the team that will see the Canadian return to full-time NTT IndyCar Series competition.
Geneyes, who entered the NTT IndyCar Series with the Mayor of HinchTown are reportedly keen to increase the involvement in the sport following great activation and engagement during the 2020 season.
Alexander Rossi, Colton Herta and Marco Andretti will all return in 2021.
