Former Andretti Autosport NTT IndyCar Series driver Ryan Hunter Reay who announced at the end of last season that he was stepping away from full-time NTT IndyCar Series competition in 2022 is set to test for Ed Carpenter Racing at Barber Motorsports Park next week.

Hunter Reay will join the team at the test as they evaluate the 2014 Indianapolis 500 winner as a possible replacement for Conor Daly should the Indiana native not return to the ECR set up in 2022. It is possible that Hunter Reay could share the No.20 ECR Chevrolet with team owner Ed Carpenter however nothing is set in stone.

Devlin DeFransceco and Kyle Kirkwood are also set to join the test with Andretti Autosport while former Formula One driver Nico Hulkenberg is set to make his NTT IndyCar Series debut at the test with Arrow McLaren SP.
