Hyundai Motorsports have confirmed that they have held talks with former World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb but have denied that they have signed the Frenchman for the 2019 season.

The team have announced an unchanged line-up for the Monte Carlo Rally, the opening event of the 2019 season which takes place from January 24 – 27 with Thierry Neuville, Andreas Mikkelson and Dani Sorda all driving the i20 Coupe.

For the second event in Sweden however it is certain who will be in the third car with Hayden Paddon in the frame to share the car once again with Dani Sordo for a partial WRC programme however, Hyundai team manager Alain Penasse said that the team have spoken with Loeb but he is unsure what the Frenchman has planned for 2019.

What is clear however is that all will be revealed at the 2019 Autosport International Show which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC Arena from January 10-13 as the 2019 FIA World Rally Championship season will officially be launched.
