DragonSpeed Cusick Motorsports Stefan Wilson who will drive the No.25 Lohla Sport Chevrolet says that he is excited to see what he can bring to AJ Foyt Racing set-up after it was confirmed on Thursday that the Brit will compete in the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, May 29.
Speaking to Paddock Eye during a Zoom conference call after it was announced that he would be returning to ‘The Greatest Spectacle In Racing’, Stefan Wilson said that he hopes he will be able to bring something to the table in terms of his knowledge of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway that can help both DragonSpeed Cusick Motorsports and AJ Foyt Racing to move forward during the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.
Wilson also told us that with there being so little time between the announcement and the first day of official practice for the race, 12 days, there is unlikely to be time for him to hit the Chevrolet simulator as the full-time Chevrolet drivers will be preparing for the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis which takes place next weekend on Saturday, May 14.
Elton Julian, Team Principal, and owner of DragonSpeed confirmed to Paddock Eye that he will be bringing over his crew from Europe as he did previously, he also confirmed to us that the crew will be at Mid-Ohio for the IMSA race there before going back to Indianapolis on Sunday night ready for practice on Tuesday 17th.
