Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin says that he is looking forward to getting back on a road course this weekend as the NTT IndyCar Series heads to Belle Isle for the final race on the Detroit Isle before the race moves to Downtown Detroit in 2023.
The New Zealander was forced to retire from the Indianapolis 500 last weekend but speaking to Paddock Eye on Belle Isle on Friday ahead of this weekend’s race the driver of the No.3 Gallagher Insurance Team Penske Chevrolet said that he is excited to be on a street course event this weekend and is looking forward to seeing what the team can do this weekend.
McLaughlin heads into this weekend’s race in sixth place in the championship on 162 points.
