Chip Ganassi Racing’s Jimmie Johnson says that it is super cool to have his dad as his spotter for the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge and that he is really excited to be here at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the month of May.

Johnson told NBC to have his dad on the radio and spot for him at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is really special.

Speaking about having Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, Alex Palou, and Marcus Ericsson to lean on at the Speedway. Johnson said it is so valuable and that he feels he can utilize what they are telling him and he is filing it away ironically he can hear their voices as he goes around the track and he is just thankful to have them with him.

Johnson had a great oval debut at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this season where he finished sixth.
