Hyundai Motorsports WRC Team Principal Andreas Adamo says he is proud of his people after Dani Sordo led home Thierry Neuville for a team 1-2 in Rally Italia Sardegna on Sunday.

Adamo also paid tribute to Laura Salvo who passed away on Saturday following a rally crash in Portugal.

Speaking following the action he said:

I am really proud of my people, I really don’t know if I deserve them or they deserve me. I am very happy for Dani and Carlos. Dani was playing with my heart. I know they were very close to the young Laura Salvo that passed away in Portugal yesterday so my thoughts are for her family.

Dani Sordo who claimed his second win in succession in Italy and speaking following the action he said:

It is amazing, I am not really happy with my performance today but at the end we managed to bring the rally at home. So I am really very happy”.

Ott Tanak who finishef the evrnt in sixth and speaking following the action he said:

It has been disappointing but OK. That is how it is, there is nothing we could have changed. Let’s keep pushing and see what we can do”

Pierre Louis Loubet commented on his rally saying:

After all what happened yesterday, I am happy to be at the end. For sure the pace was not always there but we have to take some positives”
