Chip Ganassi Racing’s Tony Kanaan in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda says he had a blast during Sunday’s ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. The Brazilian was one of ten drivers to lead the race over the course of the 500 mile event.
Kanaan started the race from fourth place and finished the event in fifth just ahead of his team mate Scott Dixon in the sister No.9 NTT DATA Honda.
The Brazilian battled Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal for the lead with the pair trading place several times. Kanaan’s performance on Sunday proved that he still has what it takes to compete at the top of the Verizon IndyCar Series.
Kanaan took to Facebook on Monday to say:
I had a blast yesterday at the Pocono Raceway #ABCSuppy500. That’s what #INDYCAR is all about. Lots of passing, lead changes (I lost count of how many times Graham Rahal and I swapped positions for the lead), great pit stops and a good show for the fans. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did! Can’t really complain about a P5 with a broken front wing. Congrats to Will Power (official) on another big W. Can’t wait to come back with the new car in 2018!
