Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin in the No.3 Pennzoil Chevrolet says that he has learned a lot from his first Indianapolis 500 despite coming up short in racing coming home in 20th place.

Speaking to Paddock Eye following the race, the New Zealander said that the Indianapolis 500 has given him the extra experience to build on for the final oval event of the season at Gateway Motorsports Park later this season and that for now, he needs to concentrate on his road course events with the doubleheader in Detroit in two weeks time.

McLaughlin went on to say that he feels that this one got away from him but that it is going to be his first of many Indy 500’s.
