NTT INDYCAR SERIES points leader Alex Palou in the No.10 The American Legion Chip Ganassi Racing Honda, who heads into this weekend’s Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar course with a 74-point lead in the championship says that he feels that the reason behind his incredible run of form in recent races is down to the fact that he has more confidence.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during a pre-race media call, Palou said that he has more confidence in the car, in himself as a driver and in his abilities, and in the No.10 crew, having worked with them for three seasons.

Palou has won three of the last four races this season, which helped him have such a big points cushion in the race to secure his second series championship.

The Spaniard, who recently tested for the McLaren Formula One team in Hungary, confirmed that the test was his last F1 outing until the end of the 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season as he focuses on the INDYCAR SERIES season.

In response to a question regarding his future, Palou said that it will be a number of months before he makes an announcement about his future.
