NTT IndyCar Series driver Pippa Mann says she simply doesn’t know whether or not she will compete in this year’s Indianapolis 500.

The 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge was due to place at the end of May but was rescheduled  for August 23 due to the COVID 19 global pandemic however could be used back to October due to increased virus numbers.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Mann said:

So many of you are asking whether I’ll be at this years #Indy500…

Honest answer: I just don’t know. I’m working hard. We want to see the @Driven2Save logos #BackOnTrack at @IMS, but the level of uncertainty we’re all living with during this pandemic is unprecedented.

Mann went on to say:

Right now none of us knows what the future holds, and I don’t know whether this race car will be in my future again this year or not.

But I do know it’s important to keep pushing until every opportunity is exhausted. Only then will I allow the fat lady to sing.
