Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin successfully completed his Indianapolis Motor Speedway Rookie Orientation Programme on the oval on Wednesday just three days after his NTT IndyCar Series race debut in the 2020 season ending Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
Speaking following the test, the New Zealander said he went faster then he has ever been before.

Two time NTT IndyCar Series champion Josef Newgarden, McLaughlin’s new team was also in action at the test while Team Penske, NTT IndyCar Series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Roger Penske, President and CEO of Penske Entertainment Mark Miles and Penske driver coach, four time Indianapolis 500 winner Rick Mears were all keen observers.
