Ed Carpenter Racing’s Conor Daly in the No.20 Bitnile Chevrolet says that he will use what he learned from his time at Carlin Racing this weekend for the double-header in Iowa as the NTT IndyCar Series returns to Iowa Speedway for the first time since 2020 with the Hy-Veedeals.com 250 on Saturday and the Hy-Vee Salute To Farmers 300 on Sunday.

Daly scored his one and only NTT P1 Award to date with Carlin here in 2020. Speaking to Paddock Eye on Wednesday, Daly said that he feels that he will be able to use his knowledge to help him be up front for the two races this weekend.

Daly feels that while in 2020 being a one-car team was tricky but they were still able to grab the pole position while this year at Ed Carpenter Racing there are three drivers with Ed Carpenter competing on the ovals this weekend.

Daly revealed that each driver has their own style however, he feels that this could play to his advantage this weekend.

Daly went on to discuss the race in the team preview saying:

Iowa is a race I have been looking forward to for a long time. Last time we were there, I won the pole and had two strong races. This will be my first time there with ECR and we were very fast at the test a couple of weeks ago, which was really encouraging. I am pumped to be at a track that I know we can be really good at. We have to make the best of it and take two days of really good points!

Rinus VeeKay in the No.21 Bitcoin Racing Team Powered By BitNile Chevrolet has two previous IndyCar race starts here in Iowa from 2020 and looking ahead to the races this weekend he said:

Iowa is coming up! We didn’t race there last year, but in 2020 I had one of the most fun races I’ve ever had. It’s just a crazy oval, crazy fast. A bullring, really! I am so excited to go back there. I think all of the experience I’ve gained since my first time at Iowa will help me a lot. I believe we can get some great results!

Ed Carpenter in the No. 33 Alzamend Neuro Chevrolet has 14 previous starts here with a best start of P4 in 2017 while fourth was his best result here in 2013. Speaking ahead of the races this weekend he said:

I am excited to get back to Iowa Speedway! When it went off the schedule, I wasn’t sure if it would come back, so a big thanks to HyVee for making it happen. I am looking forward to driving the purple Alzamend Neuro Chevrolet again!
