Former Juncos Hollinger Racing NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver Callum Ilott says that it came as a surprise to him when he lost his drive with the team ahead of the 2024 season.

Speaking at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham, England on Saturday, Ilott who will compete with JOTA Sport in the FIA World Endurance Championship competed in 36 INDYCAR SERIES with a best finish of fifth place and speaking on the main stage at ASI, Ilott said that returning to INDYCAR someday is not something that he is ruling out.

Ilott was replaced at Juncos Hollinger Racing by former Andretti Global INDYCAR SERIES driver Romain Grosjean who joins Agustin Canapino at the team for 2024.

Ilott said that he is looking forward to putting his experience in other forms of motorsport to good use in the FIA World Endurance Championship having driven in single-seaters as a Formula One test and reserve driver and with Juncos Hollinger Racing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.

Juncos Hollinger Racing will reveal their race liveries for the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season on Wednesday afternoon.
