The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has yet to open discussions with Formula One over the Brickyard hosting a round of the 2021 championship season.
The Singapore Grand Prix which was due to take place on October 3rd has been cancelled opening up a space on the calendar.
It had been suggested that the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas could host a double-header, however Paddock Eye understands that the the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are open to bring F1 this season but that discussions for a return this season have yet to be opened.
Roger Penske, owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is understood to be keen to bring Formula One back to the Brickyard.
It is possible that the Indianapolis Motor Speedway could host a race on October 3rd before heading to Texas.
