The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will come alive to as the Verizon IndyCar Series hits the oval as preparations officially get underway for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil which takes place in just under 4 weeks time.

Today’s test is for veterans with Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves set to take to the track to test the 2018 universal aero kit as the Brazilian prepares to make his return to the Verizon IndyCar Series in the No.3 Chevrolet. Helio is aiming to win his fourth Indianapolis 500 title and will be re-united with defending series champion Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power.

As well as Castroneves, series veteran Oriol Servia will also be in action today as he prepares for the month of May having signed a deal to join Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
