The 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge is set to take place on Sunday 30th May 2021.

On Tuesday, the Automobile Club De Monaco, the organizers of the Monaco Grand Prix have announced plans to host three events in 2021.

The Monaco Grand Prix which was due to take place this weekend has been cancelled due to the COVID 19 global pandemic while the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which was also due to take place this weekend has been postponed until August 23.

Paddock Eye has learnt that the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix will take place from May 20 – 23.

The announcement means that for the first time since 2003 the Monaco Grand Prix and Indianapolis 500 will not clash opening the door to the possibility of Daniel Riccardo or Lando Norris competing in the Indianapolis 500 in a third Arrow McLaren SP entry.
