The NTT IndyCar Series heads to Busch stadium tonight, home to the St Louis Cardinals baseball team where championship leader Josef Newgarden of Team Penske will throw out the first pitch in their game against the Colorado Rockies at 6PM CT. Prior to the game drivers from the NTT IndyCar Series will take part in an autograph session in the baseball fan village.
Speaking ahead of the festivities Newgarden who leads the championship by 35 points heading into this weekend’s Bommarito Automotive Group 500 commented saying:
It’s really cool to throw out the first pitch for a Cardinals game in St. Louis. “It’s such a cool city and a place I really enjoy. I grew up loving baseball and racing so it’s always really cool to put those two worlds together. This weekend at Gateway is going to be great since it’s such a fun race and I’m glad we can kick it off with a fun night at the ballpark
