IndyCar are in advanced talks with Japanese IT company NTT DATA about becoming title sponsor to the series.
According to media reports in the US on Sunday, negotiations are on going regarding a potential deal that would see NTT DATA replace Verizon as primary sponsor to the series.
NTT DATA have been a sponsor of Chip Ganassi Racing since 2013 and took over as primary sponsor to Scott Dixon’s No.9 car in 2017 as well as serving as primary sponsor to Tony Kanaan’s No.10.
In 2018, PNC Bank replaced NTT DATA as full-time primary sponsor to Scott Dixon’s No.9 Honda.
NTT DATA continued with their primary sponsorship of the No.10 Honda driven by Ed Jones.
NTT DATA will serve as primary sponsor to IndyCar Series rookie Felix Rosenqvist who will drive the No.10 Honda alongside defending champion Scott Dixon in 2019.
