ROKiT co-founder Jonathan Kendrick (JK) says that the NTT IndyCar Series is a great platform on which to build their brand in the United States and their goal is to WiFi cities after it was announced on Tuesday that the company will serve as a primary sponsor to Sebastien Bourdais’ No.14 ROKiT Chevrolet for the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series.
Speaking during a Zoom conference call on Tuesday, JK said that ROKiT will focus on using IndyCar to launch its new drinks brand that will launch this season.
Speaking to Paddock Eye during the same conference call, AJ Foyt Racing President Larry Foyt said that at the moment the deal is just for 2021 but that there is room for an expansion. Foyt also said that he hopes that it will help Sebastien Bourdais score some podiums and possible wins during the 2021 season.
Foyt confirmed that the team will head to Texas Motor Speedway next week to test their oval package for the upcoming season. Foyt also confirmed that AJ Foyt Racing will head to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval prior to the start of the season for a two-day test with Sebastien Bourdais and Dalton Kellett.
