Mark Miles, president of Hulman and Company, the owners of IndyCar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has confirmed that the NTT IndyCar Series are exploring the possibility of holding a race in Argentina.

Representatives from promoter Grupo OSD were guests of of the series at the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg which takes place last weekend.

The Circuito San Juan Villicum hosted it’s first WSBK race recently and IndyCar’s VP of promoter and media partner relations Stephen Starks has visited the circiit and was very impressed with what he saw.

Argentina is the latest venue to be discussed for IndyCar with a return to Australia looking increasingly likely.

The NTT IndyCar Series is enjoying great momentum with new TV deals announced recently, new teams, new drivers and new venues, it is certainly a fantastic time for the series growth.
