The NTT IndyCar Series announced on Monday that all practice and qualifying sessions for the 2021 season which gets underway at Barber Motorsports Park on April 18 will be streamed live on NBC’s Peacock Premium on line streaming service, replacing the NBC Sports Gold Pass.
The news comes just days after NBC announced that it will close down NBCSN at the end of the 2021 season. Speaking about today’s announcement, President and CEO of Penske Entertainment Corporation, the parent company of the NTT IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Mark Miles said:
Peacock Premium will offer NTT INDYCAR SERIES fans in-demand track action at tremendous value. “Alongside NBC Sports, we’re providing comprehensive coverage of practice and qualifications throughout our season, while also connecting to a larger platform with a world-class roster of programming.
The new deal announced on Monday will also see Peacock airing all of the practice day activity throughout the month of May in the build up to the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which takes place on May 30.
