The Indianapolis based NTT IndyCar Series teams have gone back to work ahead of the anticipated start of the 2020 season on Saturday June 6 with the Genesys 600 at Texas Motor Speedway following the enforced lockdown as a result of the COVID 19 global pandemic.
Paddock Eye understands that AJ Foyt Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Arrow McLaren SP and Ed Carpenter Racing returned to their race shops this week with restrictions in place for staff entering premises.
Team Penske’s Mooresville, North Carolina HQ has also reopened while Paddock Eye understands that both the Delray Beach, Florida based Carlin Racing team have gone back to work.
Dale Coyne Racing who are based in Plainfield, Illinois have also had staff return to work. Paddock Eye also understands that with the lockdown lifted in Texas AJ Foyt Racing have been able to reopen their race shop.
It is understood that some of the measures being introduced include staff having their temperature checked daily prior to entering work while they will also be required to fill out a COVID 19 questionnaire and observe social distancing in the workplace.
